INDICATIONS

 

Pastomix vaccine provides active immunity against Pasteurellozis disease caused by Mannheimia

haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida agents. It is administered to healthy cattle, sheep and goats by the

purpose of reducing the mortality rates, clinical symptoms and lesions caused by the disease.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE AND DOSAGE

4 ml VBR Pastomix 3 vaccine is administered subcutaneously to healthy cattle older than 3 months of age, a dose of 2 ml is administered subcutaneously to sheep and goats older than 3 months of age. A second dose is administered 2-4 weeks after first vaccination. If animals younger than 3 months of age are vaccinated, they should be revaccinated at weaning time or at 4-6 months of age by considering maternal antibodies.

SPECIAL WARNINGS

The vaccine should be administered from the third month of age for assuring adequate immunity.

It should not be mixed and administered together with any other biological substance.

The vaccine should be carried and/or stored according to cold chain rules. The vaccine vials which are frozen or exposed to heat should not be used.

The vaccine should be homogenized by shaking well before administration.

Each vial should be used within 2 hours after opening and any unfinished and empty vials should be disposed of properly in accordance with local requirements.

STORAGE CONDITIONS & SHELF LIFE

It should be stored at +2/+8 ºC and protected from light.
