Escherichia coli and Clostridium Perfringens Type C Bacterin-Toxoid

For use in healthy pregnant cattle, sheep & goats as an aid in prevention enterotoxemia in newborn
caused by Clostridium perfringens type C and colibacillosis caused by K99 piliated Escherichia coli.

Target species: Pregnant cattle, pregnant sheep & goats
Presentation: 8ml, 10 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml

Composition:
K99+C Bacterin-Toxoid is prepared from the cultures of Escherichia coli K99 and Clostridium perfringens Type C microorganisms inactivated by formaldehyde. It contains aluminium hydroxide as adjuvant.

Indications:
This Bacterin-Toxoid is recommended for vaccination of healthy, pregnant cattle and pregnant sheep & goats against the diseases caused by the following microorganisms:
Escherichia coli (Septicemia neonatorum)

Clostridium perfringens Type C (Struck, Haemorrhagic Enterotoxemia)
Newborn calves, lambs and kids should receive adequate amount of colostrums from the vaccinated dams within the first few hours after birth, to assure passive protection. Annual dose along with a management program that makes sure newborn animals receive adequate
colostrum following birth assures economical prevention of scours.

Dosage & Administration:
It is administered to the pregnant cattle, sheep and goats.
Using aseptic technique, inject 2 ml dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously to the left side of the neck of pregnant cattle or inject 1 ml dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously to the armpit of pregnant sheep and goats. It is administered to the pregnant animals 40 days to one month before the
parturition. It is recommended to revaccinate in two weeks to assure an adequate immunization against C. perfringens Type C. The animals are revaccinated annually with a single dose prior to each parturition.

Precautions:
It is only administered to healthy animals. Shake well before using. Use entire content when first opened. If anaphylactic reactions occur, use adrenalin. Do not vaccinate within 28 days before slaughter.

Storage Conditions:
Store out of direct sunlight and at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze.
